Electronic Literature and Language in South East Asia (ELLSA), which was initiated by John Morgan and Jeffrey Taschner to cater to the needs of teachers and students in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines, provides online and downloadable lesson plans for teaching and learning English through American literature.


• Two levels of lessons: American Literary Classics (The Ladder Series) and Tales of Mood and Mystery

• Uniform format for all lessons, each containing a biography of the author, a synopsis, pre-story exercises, in-story exercises, language exercises and follow-up exercises

• Download pages containing PDF and Word versions of online study materials

• Detailed self-study guides and teacher's notes
