Teaching English is a website developed by the British Council and the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) to support non-native speaker teachers of English around the world. Divided into four major sections, the site is home to a large collection of resources covering all aspects of English language teaching (ELT).

  • THINK section: contains articles written by teachers and ELT professionals about teaching and teaching methodology
  • TRY section: provides practical teaching materials, including activities, tips, lesson plans, links, and resources from the British Council, the BBC, and selected UK publishers (Cambridge University Press, Oxford University Press, Macmillan, Pearson Longman)
  • TALK section: allows teachers to interact and exchange ideas with each other via blogs, forums, and groups
  • TRANSFORM section: offers advice on professional development and information on British Council services and products for policy makers
