Developed for Frankfurt International School, this ESL web site contains many materials that any student and teacher of the English language will find useful.
In the grammar section, there are grammar quizzes and grammar notes, which cover tense usage and a miscellany of other grammatical issues. A list of language words explains key terms that students will encounter during the process of learning English. Most notably, you will find a language analysis page, which has been prepared to analyze and suggest corrections to errors contained in authentic pieces of writing by ESL students, and a language differences page, which contains an introduction to language differences, language families, phonetics/phonology and major differences between English and 16 other languages.
The vocabulary section has hundreds of quizzes on vocabulary, phrasal verbs, idioms and proverbs. If you are in a hurry, take a tour of 50 pre-selected quizzes, many of which are vividly illustrated with diagrams and pictures. Also in this section, you can try a tool which allows you to make your own vocabulary quiz, a fun and easy to build vocabulary.
Additional resources for ESL students include help with English literature, advice on learning English, reading and writing exercises, a collection of games, jokes and puzzles, a list of useful websites and answers to some questions frequently asked by ESL learners.
A special area of the site is reserved for ESL teachers, teachers who have ESL students in their classes and education administrators, besides the teaching guidance incorporated into ESL learners' resources.
Finally, parents will also find useful advice on helping their children to learn English quickly and effectively.
