World News Review, the work of the IELC (Intensive English Language Center) Learning Laboratory staff of Wichita State University, is an application that allows ESL learners to practice reading and listening to authentic news items in English.

• Chronologically arranged world news stories, which students can read and listen to at the same time
• A mini dictionary that accompanies the news player and gives definitions of difficult words
• Downloadable versions, complete with scripts and comprehension questions, available for installation on users' computers
